Friendship Academy student’s put on a stellar performance this year with the annual live interactive Wax Museum. If you did not have a chance to come you really missed a treat! This year we had record number of people in attendance. This year people met some greats like Oprah, Michael and Janet Jackson, James Brown, Ethel Norwood, Bessie Griffin, Harriet Tubman, Dr. Charles Drew and many more.
This event is usually performed the last week of February in celebration of Black History Month each year. All of the students of Friendship Academy researched an African American and learned everything they could about that person including who were their best friends, the school they attended, the clothing they wore, and memorized key points about the person so they could become that person for the Wax Museum. The Wax Museum is a wonderful, educational and entertaining event that is free and open to the public. Here are a few pictures from the event and you will find others on Friendship Academy’s Facebook page. Please like us on Facebook.
