Hi Families!
I am so excited to be your 4th grade teacher this year. My family has lived in Minneapolis for 8 years (originally from Wisconsin — Go Bucks Go!!!) This will be our family’s third year at Friendship Academy and my second year teaching.
I love jazz music (our classroom theme!), basketball, and riding my bike around town. I really love every subject, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be History.

Meet Ms. Baskett, 4th Grade Teacher
Hello All and Welcome to Friendship Academy!
My name is Ms. Baskett and I am one of the 4th grade teachers here at Friendship Academy. I am also Lead Teacher of grades 3-5! As we begin our 22’-23’ academic school year, I can't help but to be beyond excited. This is my 5th year at Friendship Academy and I am very blessed to be here!
To begin, I am from Chicago, Illinois where the majority of my family members live. I came to Minnesota for college in 2012 when I attended Minnesota State University, Mankato and received my bachelors degree in Education. Upon graduation, I was offered a teaching position here at Friendship Academy and I have been here ever since! One thing I love about FAA is that we are one big family! Everyday I walk into the building, I immediately feel the love.
Friendship Academy is my home away from home! I have a son named Jace who is 2 years old! I cant wait for the day he is walking these halls!
I am excited for yet another wonderful year at FAA!
